A busy day for the Bromley Common and Holwood team

On Friday 3rd July the Bromley Common and Holwood police team, along with the Bromley Town team, attended St James' RC Primary school on Maybury Close just to say “Hi” and catch up with the Head, Mrs Weeks. We met lots of pupils and parents, answered many questions and also did some traffic calming with just our presence at the gate. Many thought something had happened but that's not the case and we try to engage like this whenever possible.

We attended two community contact sessions to speak with residents, one at Taste Bud, the other at the Chia Cafe on the Plaistow ward.

This was followed by an appointment at Bromley Palace Park for a walk around with the volunteers who maintain the area. Some concern was raised regarding individuals gaining entry to some of the unused buildings on site and the dangers therein, weak flooring, unsafe structures and broken glass etc.

The teams will patrol this site when shifts allow to check on any anti social behaviour.
